"One Belt One Road" Amazing Tunisia

Organized in Tunis by the CTCC and a non-governmental Chinese organization (NGO) << International World Friendship Association >> to develop exchanges between both countries NGOs in social and cultural matters.
The Chinese delegation composed with seven people including two personalities in the Tourism and Volunteering field had the occasion to discuss with Tunisian NGOs attending the meeting, about concrete actions to undertake particularly with disabled people.
The visit will contain two parts: -Individual or collective meetings in various fields with similar associations in Tunisia
-Inauguration of pictures exposition named <<< The Silk Road, starting point of the dialogue between the civil society Chinese-African >>. This picture exposition will include prestigious landscapes of both countries. For this occasion, were
invited her excellency Ambassador of China, Ministers of Tourism and Culture and their staff, and
the represent of the civil society in this matter.

• At the invitation of Mr. Hong Hong, general secretary of SICO (International Organization of Cultural and Commercial Cooperation), a delegation of the CTCC went to Beijing from the 28th of October to the 4th of November. Mr Tahar Bayahi nominated as the head of the Chamber of Commerce Tunisia-China recently
created via the CTCC, joined the delegation in Beijing. The occasion was the nomination ceremony of Dr Basly Mohamed Sahbi << Executive Chairman of SICO for the Mediterranean Area >».
This meeting allowed the CTCC to convince chinese economic operators attending the ceremony, to participate at the Investment Tunisian Conference taking place on the 29th and 30th of November 2016 in Tunis.
Additionally, following the ceremony SICO and the Chamber of Commerce Tunisia-China signed off an agreement and Mr Tahar Bayahi was appointed head of SICO Tunisia.
Within the context of the International Investment Conference taking place in Tunis on the 29-30 of November, several meetings were settled in order to convince high economic decision-makers in various fields to attend the conference (Transport, Tourism, Energy, Agribusiness, Health and Industry). His excellency Mr. Dhia Khaled Ambassador of Tunisia in China who just joined his office in Beijing, was attending the ceremony.

In fact, a meeting took place at the head office of National Commission of Tourism in Beijing in attendance with Mr. Fang, Vice President of the commission, who invited :
-The President of Chinese Tour Operators - Representative of the Worldwide Organization of Tourism
- Representative of the Chinese Civil Aviation

Representatives of the Tourism Minister
- This meeting resulted on defining the main axis of cooperation between Tunisia and China in the tourism field.
During the meeting we emphasized on the necessity to define a touristic product for the Chinese clients. The Chinese part was inclined to develop a communication strategy through a direct airline flight to Tunisia.
And also, the acquisition of Hotel entities that will be designed to host the Chinese tourists. This initiative will be the purpose of a meeting in December 2016 in Beijing in order to settle a program in the private and public sector.

The second meeting was with Mr. Lin who is a Chinese investor in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Mr. Lin suggested to produce Chinese medicine such as antibiotics, antidiabetic, anticancer drugs already existing in the Chinese market and which proved their efficiency with a fair price compare to other products sold in Tunisia.

The idea to create an off shore Clinic to practice Chinese medicine was also proposed. Regarding the agribusiness, the Chinese were very interested in buying olive oil, wine and a huge quantity of grenadine from Tunisia. Likewise, they are eager to develop the trade of organic products between the two countries.

The meeting with Mr. Hong Hong general secretary of SICO allowed us to meet the representative of China Railways interested in infrastructure projects in Tunisia, and who agreed to attend the Investment Conference in Tunisia.
This visit permitted us to meet during a private lunch, a member of the cabinet of the President Xi Xinping to whom the President of the CTCC explained the Mediterranean dimension of Tunisia and why China should strengthen her future cultural, economic and scientific collaboration with this country as part of the Euro-Mediterranean space. This initiative was highly appreciated as it's been two years now that China is trying to promote the dynamic of the << Silk Maritime Road >».
This same visit allowed the President of CTCC to go to the Economic Diplomatic Center of China, which is an entity of the communist party chaired by Mr Ma Zhenxuan Chairman of Qjaoyuan Public Diplomacy &Culture Exchange. Co and Mr. Guan Director of the Board China United Holdings Group LTD.
The meeting focused on the possibility to establish a cooperation between the Center and the CTCC in all cultural, economic and scientific areas.
